Good supplementary tool for spot cleaning I bought this item from the HSN but then found it cheaper here on amazon.com (of course, DOH!). This is a perfect tool for cleaning up light spots on the carpet but does not do the same job as a more heavy-duty carpet steam cleaner. The pluses are that you can store it with the soapy water in the canister, and it is light and easy to manuever. I use it mostly to do spot cleaning; for example, cleaning up after my cat’s furballs. It is always an event to have to break out the large steam cleaner, but this is an easy tool to grab, use, and return to the closet. The brushes on the bottom of the cleaner do not move (they aren’t agitated), which is the norm with the heavy duty steam cleaners; however, I like this feature better for regular use as it will not have as much wear and tear on the carpet. I give this appliance 4 stars out of 5. It is a good supplementary cleaning tool but not a must-have.
