A very nice rug cleaner for twice the price I had bought this for my wife after a lengthy search on the internet and we’ve not been disappointed. The first occasion to use it came after one of our four legged pets had an accident on our beige rug. It loads easily and it’s handy how the clean water and the waste water share space on the small, cartridge. It’s surprisingly light weight too. We’d had a Bissell previously from about 10 years ago and that was a large, 4 wheeled item that you pulled behind you. As I recall that cleaned pretty well but all the water fittings leaked no matter how hard you tightened them. I’m glad to say that this Bissell cleans even better and there are no leaks to be seen.This has been a good purchase for us!
Good value dep cleaner A lot of the previous reviewers’ complaints were about leaving fuzzballs or other things after using this vacuum, but what they fail to mention is that with every wet vac, you’re supposed to run a regular dry vacuum over the carpet before hand. This would have an effect on how much extra work the vacuum needs to do. While the vacuum did remove lodged-in dog hair, it would leave said hair in clumps on the ground. It was easy to pick up and throw away, but I agree the hair should have been sucked into the tank instead of deposited on the ground.That being said, this vacuum is great at picking up embedded dirt and making sure the carpet is dry afterwards. After running the cleaner over the rug several times,the rug was still moist, but was relatively dry the next morning. Depending on how soiled your rug/carpet is, you may need to continue passing the cleaner over it to truly get it clean.For the price (along with the rebate from bissell), I think this is one of the most cost effective cleaners you can get.
Great job for little $$$ I wanted a carpet cleaner that was easy to use, easy to clean, easy on the pocket book, and, of course, works! I found it in this Bissell. When I was shopping for a carpet cleaner, I admit I was leaning more towards the Bissell brand. I own a Little Green Machine and have always been pleased with its performance.Like other reviewers have written, the PowerSteamer does leave “lint balls”…in my case, “fur balls” around the floor. But, personally, I don’t see this as a problem. Yes, I did vacuum thoroughly, but with a cat and a dog that shed, there will always be pet fur. I would rather gather up those “fur balls” and throw them in the trash than have them sucked up in the tank and poured down the drain to clog the pipes.Don’t expect this machine to clean your carpet in one pass! It will do the job well if you take the time. In the high traffic areas of the carpet, I realized that this was going to take extra time and extra passes with the PowerSteamer. I took the time to do four passes on those areas and the black spots that were quite noticeable are gone.You may find this machine cheaper at retail stores. I found mine for a bit cheaper than the Amazon listings by buying in store than on line.
