Does Excellent Job!!! I am so happy with the results that this brush delivered. I have some advise for those of you who are eying this product.1- if your dryer duct vent is long, you will need a 12′ extension to clean the vent.2- Make sure you attach the extension one at a time to the drill3- Make sure you turn drill clockwise in and out. Do not turn drill counter clockwise.4- Use your other hand to support the extension while your drill is activited.Overall, I am very happy with the results. The vent is squeaky clean.
Didn’t lint me down After 9+ years in this home, the dryer was taking longer and longer to dry close. The appliance guy told me it was either the timer, or a partially blocked vent, and to disconnect and try a load to determine which it was. The verdict was a blocked vent. He’d also told me if that was the case, they couldn’t help, but a certified vent cleaner could… but they cost $90 in the ads. So this little product, plus the 12′ extension kit, let me clean 15′ of dryer vent. I put the dryer on air fluff to move air through the vent, and assembled and inserted the rotary brush… during the whole time of insertion and then extraction, with the drill turning it all the time, fine lint was being blown out of the vent. After pulling out the brush, while I was wondering if I should do it again, a large blob of lint was burped out of the vent. So that convinced me to do it again, with similar results, and an even larger blob of lint after extraction. During the third run, the fine lint was much diminshed to the point I couldn’t really be sure there was any, and there was no large blob afterward. I put the vent flapper/grate back in place. The next load of clothes to be dried had a normal drying time.So the first use more than paid for the tool, and now I can clean it a couple times a year and keep it in tip top condition. Took about half an hour to get the tools out (screwdriver, drill, extension cord, tape), assemble the tool, do the cleaning and put everything away.
