Converts Your Dust Extractor to a Shop Vacuum This kit includes an 11.5 ft x 36mm anti-static hose, a sturdy break-down 4-piece stainless steel wand,crevice tool, upholstery brush, utility brush and a multi-surface floor nozzle. The latter has flip-down brushes for vacuuming floors. To vacuum carpets the brushes slip up and out of the way. It works very well.All the attachments will work with the standard 27mm hose that comes with the Festool dust extractors, but if you really want to see some suction, attach the 36mm hose that comes with this kit. Wow. It seems to double the amount of air flow; like an entire new vacuum.Everything comes packed in a Systainer 4, which attaches securely to the top of any of the newer CT dust extractors and is about the same size as the CT midi. The Systainer is handy for storage, but you really come to appreciate it when you begin hauling everything to different project sites.Festool’s catalog states that the kit is not compatible with the CT mini or midi, but I have a midi and the kit works fine. The only catch with using this with either the mini or the midi is that since the hose attaches to the top of the vacuum, you cannot keep the systainer on top of the vacuum while using the larger diameter hose. That is not an issue so far as I’m concerned.If purchased separately, at Festool’s typically outrageous prices, this package would be more than $350. So at the package price it’s actually fairly reasonable. If you plan on using your CT vacuum for much vacuuming, this is a really useful kit. No complaints.
This is a nice addition to the festool vacs. It is expensive like anything festool but once you buy you are hooked.
