Awesome. Performs Miracles. As an early Christmas present in December 2010 my exgirlfriend spilled almost an entire bottle of cheap red wine onto my carpet. Try as I might I could not get this stain up. The constant reminder of the jealous lunatic who went into manic rages over Facebook friend requests I received from coworkers was not a welcomed site on my floor. I tried a host of overpriced carpet cleaning solutions that spray on and then after you inhale noxious fumes for 15 minutes. Having completed those steps you scrub like Cinderella and the only effect I could really see it doing is it was making the stain bigger.So it’s June 2011 and my stain has grown much like The Blob, absorbing and laughing at all cleaners I brought to battle. Having a few cocktails out by the pool on my laptop I was speaking with my mother about her stain problem and how she was going to solve it. She said, “blah blah blah Capture” and I did what I always do when SUI (surfing under the influence). I went on Amazon.com and impulsed bought the hell out of it.It works. Wonderfully. But not only did it work but I enjoy the following:- Smells like Fruity Pebbles, not death bleach. I had a bowl of cereal almost immediately after applying the powder I had 30 minutes to burn before vacuum step. – No left over wet spot that I always invariably step on wearing socks.- Scrubbing was minimal. It seems the only purpose of the scrub is the push the fairy dust that you’re spreading all over the carpet just a little deeper into the stain. Excessive force is not necessary here.
great results, easy to use Recently used this kit rather than our steam cleaner, which does a great job, due to time constraints. Was very pleased. It took me about an hour to do our large living room and stairs, compared to three hours plus drying time for the steam cleaner. The results were almost (80-90%) as good. Want to add that you need a good vacuum. I tried this product some years ago and had poor results because my old vacuum just couldn’t remove all of the powder.
LOVE this stuff! Members of my family have been using Capture for years, and in my experience, no other carpet cleaner compares. I use this system not only for spot cleaning (we have 3 dogs and 3 cats), but for general cleaning of high-traffic areas as well. I became a true ‘believer’, however, several years ago after my aunt put it to the test. She was carrying a container of wood stain for some furniture she was finishing when she tripped and dropped the stain on her NEW carpet. She used the capture right away and there wasn’t a single visible trace of the stain! My only “complaint” is that this is almost addictive, and once I get started, I go through it very quickly!
